About 3 weeks before the North American release of the Thrustmaster Cougar, I was sitting behind my desk performing what had become a ritualistic cleaning of my F-22 Pro, and TQS. It immidiately occured to me, pending the arrival of my new Cougar, that it sure would be nice to never have to dust my stick again. I had spent a lot of money on a good HOTAS, so a few dollars didn't seem like much to protect it for life. Thus the idea was born to design a HOTAS Cover. Originally it had only been my intent to make a dozen or so and give them to my close friends. I shared the idea with a few pals on ICQ. It met with tremendous enthusiasm and they encouraged me to take it a little further and sell them. I wasn't exactly excited at the prospects of taking on a project of such proportions as I don't get much flying time as it is being occupied with a fulltime job and two young sons. My attitude quickly changed as I witnessed the prototypes evolve into what they are today.
After countless hours, lots of late nights, several prototypes, many trips around town to gather up supplies, including a new sewing machine for my wife, I'm eager to show you all my hand made HOTAS Cover!
Please buy a set to help me recoupe the cost of the sewing machine ;-)
